Topco Technologies traces its start to the founding of Topco Trading in 1981, just as Taiwan’s economy was taking off on the strength of surging growth in the electronics and semiconductor industries. As an agency of Shin-Etsu Chemical Company, with which it has enjoyed a long-standing relationship of trust, Topco Trading scored big success in Taiwan with Shin-Etsu’s entire product line, including silicone, silicon wafers, and other related products. And this was just the start, as Topco has gone on from there to build up a thriving business.
In 1986 the company embarked on an ambition program of expansion, and over the course of several years established a string of companies in Taiwan, including Topco G&D, Topco Scientific, Topco Quartz Products, Topglow Trading, T.S.C., and Shin-Etsu Silicone Taiwan. Each of these companies specialized in a different area, but they combined as a powerful team under the overall leadership of Topco Trading, which directed their efforts to meet market needs in a rapidly growing Taiwanese economy. In response to economic development in China, the company also established subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Guangzhou to develop the greater China market.
In 1994 Topco established Topview Technology for the design and production of surveillance camera peripherals, and the new company was a huge success, concentrating on R&D in Taiwan while carrying out production in China at its plant in Kunshan. The company adopted a global business strategy, and made great strides.
On 1st July 2004, Topco Trading and Topview Technology were merged in order to achieve a sharing of corporate resources and enhanced efficiency. The birth of the new company, Topco Technologies, has sparked a wave of hope and enthusiasm among our employees. With the expectation of better things to come , we are working hard and acting on our company’s philosophy employees are our shareholders, corporate ethics come first. The applications to silicone are numerous, and on the increase, in fact, as new applications are found in automobiles, textiles, electronics, telecommunications, and high-tech industry. Silicone products play an indispensable part of our daily lives.
We are a professional and trustworthy supplier for many domestic manufacturers in Taiwan, including Hon Hai Precision, Four Pillars, Jet Motor industrial, Speedtech Opto-Electronics, Teck link, Tempo chemicals, Ta Yang silicone rubber industrial, lchia Technologies, Silitech Technology, Delta Electronics, Formosa Plastics, Nanya Plastics, Chang Chun plastics, Eternal chemical, Chi Mei, Taiwan Glass, Kao, and Hwa Fong rubber. Topco’s Silicone Group is working actively to develop both domestic and overseas business. Silicone products have applications virtually in every industrial sector. They have outstanding resistance to heat and cold, such as electrical insulators, which are chemically stable and have low surface tension (important for demolding, defoaming, and water repellency). All these factors translate into a continual growth range of applications for silicone products. Topco currently provides the following services and applications:
Silicone oil: Can be used in the manufacturing of thread, RTV silicone rubber, and cosmetics, as well as for plastic modification and demolding.
Denatured silicone: Used for demolding, cosmetics, resin modification, etc.
Defoaming agents: Used in the foods industry for defoaming of food products, such as tofu and yeast milk: used in the fiber industry such as scouring agents and high-temperature defoaming agents: used in the rubber industry such as latex and coatings: and used in the petrochemical industry for wastewater treatment, etc.
Demolding agents: Used in the rubber and plastic industries for PET containers, etc.
Fiber treatment agents: water-repellent agents and softeners; flexibility treatment, hydrophilic processing, anti-bacterial treatments, wool treatment agents, etc.
Painting additives: for water-based and oil-based coatings.
Stabilizers: shape-memory pillows, soft/hard polyurethane, etc.
Silicone coupling compounds: glass cloth, glass fiber filament, copper-clad laminates (CCL), epoxy molding compounds (EMC), casting applications, hard coatings, etc.
Demolding agents for paper: tape, label
Solid silicone rubber: keypads, packing, rollers, tubes, O-rings, oil seals, diving masks, anode caps.
